Why Do you Write?

Stories are ways of looking at our current world and the problems our society is facing. Dystopia, crime ... they're ways of assessing what's happening in our world. In novels the protagonist usually fixes problems that are too big for any one person to fix. Why? Because we want our protagonists to lead by example. We want them to triumph over evil. It gives us hope for a brighter future, hope that we too can have a positive impact.

And the less serious answer? Writing is fun! Haven't you ever dreamt of being on a secret mission or in a universe far, far away? When you connect with your protagonists you can be anyone, anywhere ... You can slip into the shoes of a spy, or a warrior, or a ... Knight?
